
More than 150 international hospitality professionals will travel to the emirate from April 16-20, for the AICR International Receptionist of the Year competition.
The annual presidium will be hosted by Dubai, one of the organisation's newest international chapters, for the first time in its 40-year history.
A total of 11 finalists, one from each country chapter, will compete for the prestigious David Campbell Trophy under the scrutiny of an international judging panel, presided over by AICR International president, Michael Stenner.
The week culminates in a gala dinner and awards ceremony to be held at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
Dubai chapter finalist, Simba Eric Mhuriro from the Oasis Beach Tower, will represent the emirate in this prestigious competition, and is one of an ever-growing number of talented young professionals taking the booming hotel industry forward in the emirate.
Delegates representing11 international chapters, from Estonia to New Zealand, will enjoy an action-packed week in the emirate which includes the opportunity to network with locally-based hospitality professionals and leading tourism companies, as well as explore the four corners of Dubai.
The schedule of planned activities includes a tailored city tour and lunch at Dubai Museum, dinner on board Bateaux Dubai, a performance of Jumana - Secret of the Desert light and sound show, and cultural desert experience.
