This Year the UK AICR Receptionist of the Year Competition was held at the Royal Garden Hotel in their newly refurbished events space on the 30th of November 2009.

Congratulations to the 6 candidates that made it through to the finals and to Magdalena  Zuchowicz from Sheraton Belgravia and Zoeb Manji from Crown Plaza Docklands who were placed First and Second in this years Competition.

This years competition saw 33 entries from across the UK with 17 semi-finalists moving forward to the second stage of the competition where interviews were held at the Marriott Park Lane.

6 successful candidates were then invited to the finals at the Royal Garden where they were interviewed by a panel of judges, these included Graham Bamford, General Manager of the Royal Garden Hotel, Julia Sibley CEO of the Savoy Educational Trust, Helen Morris Business Manager Portfolio, Smita Appadoo, winner of last years competition and Susan Craig from Portico Reception Management.

Our Roleplay actors were Graham Copeman General Manager at the Goring and Corrine Bellaby Project Consultant CB Associates.

Magdalena will now move forward to represent the UK at the International Competition to be held in Madrid on the 14th January 2010.
